The contract is for 9,000m² spanning 8 floors at the Gav Yam Center in Herzeliya Pituach. The agreement will enable General Motors to occupy space being vacated by Microsoft and to add 3,000m² to the space that it currently rents

It is a significant agreement for Gav Yam as it enables it to occupy space being vacated by Microsoft due to its relocation to the new campus in Herzeliya.

GM currently rents 6,000m² of office space for its development centers at two locations. The company rents 2,500m² at the Apple campus under a contract expiring in 2022 and 3,500m² at Gav Yam Park Herzeliya North, under a contract expiring in 2021. The space rented now, covering 8 floors, is expected to combine the two locations and add 3,000m² to the company’s current space.

In early 2021, as the space is vacated by Microsoft, GM will begin interior finishing works and it is expected to occupy the space in Q4/2021. This is, for Gav Yam, the third deal signed by the company, so that all space vacated by Microsoft has been marketed and rented. One agreement is with Microsoft itself and the third is with Vazerto. According to Aviv Jacobovitz, Gav Yam’s CEO, the company is currently promoting a UCP to add ~30,000m² in the Apple and NOS compound in Herzeliya.
