| Matam Park - Haifa |
 |
 |
Location: At the southern entrance to Haifa near the
Haifa-Tel-Aviv highway. A short walking distance from the
railroad station and the central Egged bus station.
Description: Matam Park, located at the southern entrance to
Haifa, is the largest and oldest business and high-tech park in
Israel. The park is situated on a main thoroughfare, close to
highways 2 and 4, and near central transport such as the Carmel
Beach Railway Station and the Egged Central Bus Station.
The Park is a local and international technology center, where
international companies work in research and development,
advanced technology, and are well known for their international
breakthroughs and international inventions.
Matam Park is a closed campus, covering an area of
approximately 220,000 sq.m with about 8,000 employees. The Park
includes buildings covering an area of approximately 270,000
sq.m which are rented out to about 50 leading hi-tech companies
such as Intel, Elbit Systems, Microsoft, Philips, Zoran, etc.
The uniqueness of the park is found, among other things, in its
central management, through Shatam Company, whose shares are
controlled by Matam Company and the occupants of the park.
Shatam Co. works in complete coordination with the occupants of
the park, who are partners in all decisions relating to the
park.

Another unique aspect of the park is its wide variety of
services provided to the occupants, such as: central
air-conditioning, cafeterias, children's day centers, a medical
clinic, transport facilities, a post office, bank, a petrol
station and parking areas.
Special emphasis is placed on the park's infrastructural
redundancy systems. For example, the park is supplied by two
transformers stationed in Haifa, in order to enable the
continuous flow in case of electricity failure.
Matam park has flower gardens, trees and sculptures. Much
attention is given to cleanliness and ecology. The well-tended
areas of Matam offer green lawns, cared for picturesque
squares, avenues of trees, luscious vegetation and sculptures,
which add to the natural panorama of the park. Shady seating
areas with benches allow the workers to relax and enjoy the
beautiful view of the sea.
The built up area of the park is 270,000 sq.m. Future plans for
the Park include expansion by more than 100,000 sq.m.
Strategic partners: Haifa Economic Corporation.
